CAUSES WE SUPPORT

The Hetrick-Martin Institute for LGBTQ + Youth (HMI) works with teachers, school administrators, guidance and mental health counselors, after school providers and local government agencies to educate and inform policies that better support LGBTQ+ youth ages 13 - 24 and their families.

The Black-Led Movement Fund (BLMF) is a donor collaborative at Borealis Philanthropy that strengthens the capacity of the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) so that it can better shape policy agendas for Black communities, create viable alternatives to institutions that have been harmful to Black people, and build local Black community power.

Black Thrive and Global Black Thrive CIC are UK-based organizations that aim to improve mental health and wellbeing of Black communities in Lambeth and Europe, while reducing health inequalities. They address the barriers which lead to poorer outcomes across a range of social factors, such as education, employment, housing, and so on, all of which may negatively impact one’s health and wellbeing.

Black Women in Motion is a Toronto-based, youth-led organization that works to empower and support the advancement of Black women, girls, nonbinary and gender-non-conforming survivors of gender-based violence. BWIM's framework for their work is anti-racist, intersectionally feminist, trauma-informed, and survivor-centered. They provide educational tools, healing spaces, and economic opportunities and relief.
